Quercus News area

The News area

The News area on the Home screen can be used to display short messages.

If you are a member of the QP_MESSAGE_BOARD_EDIT LDAP group you can add or edit messages by clicking the Edit News link in the Tasks panel.

Maintaining messages

To add a new message

1Click the Edit News link in the Tasks panel.

A list of messages appears.

2Click the Add News link in the Tasks panel.

The Add or Edit Post screen opens.

3Type in your message and complete the Title, Publish and Retire fields.

The Publish field determines when the message will be published.

The Retire field determines when the message will be removed from view.

4Click Save.

To edit or delete an existing message

1Click the Edit link in the bottom right of the News area.

The Message Board opens showing a list of current messages.

2Identify the message you wish to edit and click the corresponding Edit icon .

The Edit Post screen opens.

3Either:

edit the message and click Save

or

click Delete to delete the message
