Admissions FastTrack User Guide<>

Creating a new direct application

Admissions FastTrack allows you to enter details of a new application directly into the system. Direct applications can be processed alongside applications received from other sources such as UCAS or the Apply Online service.

To create a new direct application

1On the Applications tab select Create Direct from the Tasks list.

The Direct Applicant Progress Wizard opens at the first step.

2Enter the personal details of the applicant.

3After you have entered personal details click Next.

The next step checks whether or not there are any existing applicants with the same surname and initial with the same birthday. If there is, you can select an existing record if it is the same person.

4If the record is not a duplicate, continue through the Progress Wizard and enter the contact details.

5Finally, enter details of the candidate’s choice of course.

6After you have completed the wizard, click Create Application to create the applicant record.

You are presented with the Applicant Details screen.

The applicant is now added to the database and you can begin to process the application.

Note: the workflow that will be used to process the application is set up through the Interactions option. A course instance is associated with a specific workflow through this option. To check which workflow is being used to process your new direct application hover the mouse over the stage column.
